A day after Delhi police registered a case against Delhi CM Atishi over Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violation, a similar case has been registered against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and candidate from Okhla Amanatullah Khan on the day of Delhi assembly elections.

It has been reported that the case was filed after he was seen campaigning with more than 100 supporters in Zakir Nagar Tuesday night.

According to ANI, the case was registered under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with the punishment for disobeying orders given by public servants, and Section 126 of The Representation of the People Act, 1951, which prohibits public meetings during a period of 48 hours ending with an hour fixed for the conclusion of the poll.

Moreover, cases have also been registered against AAP MLA Dinesh Mohaniya over allegedly giving a flying kiss to a BJP woman worker, and his party colleague Ajay Dutt's family members, who have been accused of assaulting a BJP woman worker.

FIR Against CM Atishi Over MCC Violation

A day before the assembly elections in the national capital, the Delhi police have registered a case against Delhi CM Atishi, the AAP candidate from Kalkaji, for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and obstructing public servants on duty,aaajili as reported by PTI.

"We have registered an FIR against Kalkaji AAP candidate at the Govindpuri Police Station under various sections, and further investigation is under process," said the police officer, as quoted by PTI.

He further said that action was taken as the AAP candidate was found at Fateh Singh Marg along with 50-70 supporters and 10 vehicles. Police instructed them to vacate the area as per MCC guidelines. But they obstructed an officer from doing his duties, he said.

Police Case Against Kejriwal

A police case has been registered against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a day before Delhi assembly polls over his allegations that Haryana is poisoning the waters of Yamuna.

The case has been filed in Haryana accusing Kejriwal under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. As per reports, the charges include inciting riots, promoting hatred, making false accusations with the intent to cause harm, and engaging in deliberate and malicious actions that insult the religious sentiments of citizens.

The FIR states that the complainant viewed a viral video of Kejriwal, in which he allegedly made provocative remarks and leveled wild, baseless allegations against the state of Haryana, its government, and the ruling BJP. The FIR also includes a reproduction of Kejriwal's statement, made in Hindi, on January 28.
